Welcome to my website!
Step into the world of economics with a first-generation Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, USA. Passionate about teaching, I love the chance to teach courses like Introduction to Econometrics, Development Economics, Macroeconomics, International Economics, Math for Economists, and more. For fall 2023, I am teaching Principles of Macroeconomics and Research Methods & Statistics for Economics.
With a Ph.D. in Economics from Colorado State University (USA), an MSc in Economics from Umeå University (Sweden), an MBA from Copperbelt University (Zambia), and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Zambia, I bring a diverse range of knowledge and expertise.
My research focuses on International Economic Development, Child Poverty & Inequality, Education, Economic Growth, and Taxation. My Ph.D. dissertation explored the link between access to services and later life outcomes, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. The aim was to obtain insights that would prove vital for posterity. I'm excited to embark on new research endeavors, deep-diving into three themes: expanding my ongoing development projects to exploring growth, international and monetary economics in African countries, and understanding the dynamic realm of health economics. I aim to contribute to the global understanding of these fields.
When I'm not immersed in academia, I cherish quality time with my lovely wife, Michelo, traveling the world. I find solace in the adrenaline of motorsport or basketball, the strategic moves of chess, the wisdom within books, and the creativity of cooking.
